My new found artist love has finally come, i'm using her work as total inspiration for my new pieces, as show in my previous post, over a week ago, oopsie. I love the mixed media element and the way she layers patches over the canvas, mmm it's a shame it's landscape because i'm going to have to do landscape sketches if i want to include her in my A2 project, tricky situation. F x

Fairy lights and inspiration.

I absolutely adore fairy lights, my house is going to be consumed by them when i'm older, so pretty and delicate, they always make a room cos cosy and stylish! Painting with stitch piece by me, struggling to find any artists that use this style of mixed media but i'll keep persevering to find one as close as. I wanna use this for my A2 art but i do not wanna do anything to do with landscape which is exactly what the piece looks like it's been based on. damn. F x

I was having a look on the Vogue website for various updates in the fashion/arty world and i came across this photographer, see the article here! Though i do prefer his website tons and tons more. Off to have a quick delve through everything, here are a few of his snaps, what a lucky man.

Sweet dress, a cheap and simple option for nights out, nothing too special though.

I've finally found this site that has so many of the photos i have loved in the past, so so many! It's ridiculous how this like one (?) person has taken so many simple but lovely photographs, i'm eternally jealous of how cool this person surely must be. check it out! Fx

Refreshing new start.

I'm going to crack on and make an actually interesting blog for once, recording my 'artistic' directions and general happenings, rather than endless photos of my puppy dog, no matter how cute he may be. I'll put some effort into this thing rather than carving hearts into apples; though it's always been a strange personal aim of mine to do that! It's slightly scaring, but i'm actually pretty pleased with myself.

Hopefully i'll finish this small textile canvas i've started, though i'm feeling quite lost with the second one, i'll post both images once i've finished the duo. I love the feeling of working with such interesting colours and textures, but why are sewing machines oh so unrealiable? This one just keeps breaking on me, i actually have to sellotape the cable to the table leg. Wish me luck! F x
